On September 9, 2024, C.A.R. hosted a virtual town hall moderated by James Baiseri, Chair of C.A.R.’s Legislative Committee, with speakers Melanie Barker, President of C.A.R., Heather Ozur, President-Elect of C.A.R., and Karim Drissi, Director of Public Policy and Advocacy at C.A.R.

The town hall offers excellent insight into the history of the Costa-Hawkins Housing Act, why C.A.R. supported it, more information on Prop 33, and the history of rent control ballot measures in California. Our experts also shared what REALTORS® can do to help defeat Prop 33 and advocate for homeowner rights protections in the state!
